REMOVE SHORTCUT VIRUS FROM PENDRIVE

Introduction  

 Mostly we all are meet this issues over pen drive. Shortcut virus has two types;

1.Trojan.Generic type (Harmful one)

2. Script type (Not Harmful)

Mostly these are replicate your files and folders, hide and replace it with shortcuts.exe. This is a combination of Trojan and Worm. If you double click that it starts to duplicate and affect your PC by
install malicious software that monitors your computing habit and worst, steal your important data and credit card information.

How To Remove....

Before starts to remove Follow this Tips. 
If you don,t have proper Anti-Virus then,
     > Don't open pen drive by autorun.
     > Don't open pen drive by double click.
     > Open pen drive by right click and open.
It prevent virus script from running.

Then follow the steps below.
Step1: Unhide the disk fully to see the real files which are hidden by shortcut virus and to avoid executing it. (Click here for help)

Step2: Search for virus file, right click it and open properties to note the type of virus.

Step3: Open task manager and look at background processes for Windows Based Script Host running processes disable it. Also look for unwanted script processes related to virus type noted on properties and same to name of virus. Disable that all.

Step4: Some times it starts to affect your computer so just confirm it by below steps.

• Open C:\Users\name\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup and look for virus with same name.
• Open C:\Users\name\AppData\Local\Temp and here also look for virus with same name.
• Press win+R to start run and type regedit and press enter.
• Open HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run and check for registry with name of virus script.

Step5: Scan pen drive with antivirus to remove any harmful virus is there.

Step6: Then open pen drive and delete the virus files in pen drive and open the hidden folder with and just cut the files and paste it on pen drive home path and delete all other things.

Step7: Eject the pen drive and connect again.
